Spirit.
Built into this painting is the love my late son gave and the love that surrounded him every day of his life.

This is about the loss of personal history and new beginnings.

I love the view of looking up a tree like standing at the foot of God, everything in harmony and at peace.

Limitations, confinement and solitude. Together and apart. Content. State of being. Free spirit. Happiness.

You, dear ‘Smoke Tree’, symbolize renewal, transformation and hope; a silent ‘Talisman’ for an optimistic future.

Fresh. Cold. Clean. Part of us all, it washes our souls and calms our minds.

It is the height of COVID. And we are all waiting. Waiting for a time when we can meet again.

It is my desire to communicate to observers a sense of nature in its grandeur

This was created as a reminder of the need for national pandemic preparedness and a memorial for the healthcare heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
