Kim Ondaatje tragically, faithfully captures an image of industrial air. The stark minimalism of this landscape from what she calls her Factory Series invokes a gloomy synesthesia and seems to make the taste of sulphur part of the visual experience.
Kim Ondaatje is a painter, photographer, and filmmaker who was a 2009 recipient of the Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts. She was born in Toronto and lives in Verona, Ontario.
